Frequently Asked Questions

What should a house cleaning contract list?

The specific rooms and tasks, schedule and frequency, who provides supplies, price, access arrangements, damage policy, and cancellation terms.

Who is responsible if cleaning damages my property?

The cleaner should repair or reimburse damage caused by their negligence, usually up to a stated limit. The contract should set the limit and the reporting window.

Should I secure valuables before cleaning?

Yes. Most contracts state the cleaner is not responsible for unsecured cash, jewelry, or valuables — so securing them protects you and the cleaner.

Can a cleaning service be month-to-month?

Yes. Ongoing services usually run on a recurring schedule with a termination notice period, typically 30 days, on either side.
