Vehicle Lease Agreement Template
A handshake and a set of keys do not track mileage or maintenance — a written lease does. A vehicle lease agreement template sets the payment, mileage cap, and who fixes what, so the fine print is on paper, not in your head.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a typical mileage limit on a vehicle lease?
Most leases allow 10,000 to 15,000 miles per year. Excess miles are billed per mile, usually between $0.15 and $0.25, so the cap matters.
Who is responsible for maintenance during a lease?
The lessee handles routine maintenance like oil changes and tires. The lessor covers repairs from normal wear, unless the lessee's negligence caused the damage.
Can I end a vehicle lease early?
Yes, but early termination usually triggers a fee plus unpaid payments. Some leases allow transferring the lease to another person instead.
Is a security deposit required on a vehicle lease?
Most lessors require one, typically equal to one or two monthly payments. It is refundable, minus deductions for damage or unpaid charges, at lease end.
