Frequently Asked Questions
What does an Airbnb co-host typically do?
Handle guest communication, check-ins, cleaning oversight, restocking, issue resolution, and calendar management — for a percentage of the booking revenue, usually 10 to 20 percent.
How much should a co-host be paid?
Co-hosts commonly earn 10 to 20 percent of each booking, or a flat fee per stay. The rate depends on how much of the work they take on.
Who is responsible for local rental regulations?
The property owner — permits, taxes, and registration stay with the host. The agreement should state this so the co-host is not exposed to compliance liability.
Can a co-host agreement be terminated easily?
Yes — most run month-to-month with a 30-day notice. The agreement should also pay the co-host for work completed through the termination date.
